This website is an independent visitor guide. Tour links go to GetYourGuide or Viator, where any booking is made. Some links on this site are affiliate links: if you book through one of them we may earn a commission, and the price you pay is the same. We help you choose a geisha show, a maiko dinner or a walk in Gion, but we do not sell any ticket or run any show ourselves. Every listing is sold by an independent operator, whose name appears on the listing. This site is not the official site of Gion Corner, of any hanamachi, tea house, theatre or dance troupe, and it is not connected with them or with any other place it describes.

By following a booking link you leave this site; the booking is made with GetYourGuide or Viator under its terms and the operator’s.

Bookings & Payment

  • Bookings are processed and fulfilled by GetYourGuide or Viator and by the tour operator.
  • By completing a booking, you agree to the booking platform’s terms and the operator’s policies: GetYourGuide General Terms and Conditions, Viator Terms of Use.
  • Booking confirmations and vouchers are issued by the platform you booked with.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation terms are set by the booking platform and the operator and are shown on each listing before you pay.

To change or cancel a walk, show or dinner: use the contact details in the confirmation email from GetYourGuide or Viator.

Prices Shown on This Site

Prices, ratings and review counts on this site are copied from the listings, with the month they were checked next to them. Operators change prices by season and by date. The price you pay is the one the booking platform shows at checkout. Prices quoted in yen on this site are the theatres’ and the dance troupes’ own published prices, with the month they were read; they set and change them.

Tour Operator Responsibility

  • The tour operator (not this website) is solely responsible for:

    • Running the tour safely and as described
    • The guides, performers and venues
    • Show times, seating, and any cancellation or change of a show
    • Guest safety and insurance
    • Handling complaints or problems during the show

  • When a venue closes or a show time is changed, what then happens to your booking is set out on the listing you booked.

  • This website is a visitor guide that refers you to GetYourGuide and Viator. We are not liable for:

    • Tour quality, safety, or the accuracy of descriptions
    • Personal injury, loss, or damage during a tour
    • Cancellations, delays, or changes made by operators or venues
    • Disputes between customers and operators
